Some Thoughts About Investing

I previously attended a seminar and the main topic was about Investing.

It was just a four hour seminar and there were main topics discussed about investing in general. Barriers to Investing were discussed and below were some that were mentioned.

Why People Do Not Invest

• Lack of Knowledge
• Lack of Time
• Lack of Money or funds

Those reasons were self explanatory. Nowadays, with the use of the internet, we could learn more about investing. There are various free topics/articles about investing and even some posts that are very detailed on how we can start investing. The time conflict can be solved through proper time management. Likes spending time more on learning about it rather than spend on non productive activities. There could be various ways as well to gather money such as buying only the necessities, trying to save some amount from your regular income and trying to increase your source of income.

It was discussed too that there are certain type of risks in investing. These are low, moderate and high risks. The higher the risk, the return or income could be higher as well and it can be in a long term type of investment.

There are also some tips given on choosing the right investment for you.

• Invest according to your goals. Like if you have a short term or long term goals.
• Look/search for the best investment that could help you achieve your goal. You can research or consult a professional investor.

Some types of investments were discussed as well such as time deposits, treasury bills, mutual funds and stock marker.
