My sunflower seedlings, took this photo using my mobile phone.
I recently planted some sunflower seeds and just few days after, it started to grow. Looking forward of course for the time that it will start producing flowers and turn our space yellow. 😊
Flowering plants seem to become lessened through the years here in the city. It is because majority of the land were developed into either residential or business structures. I can still remember that our neighbor used to have sunflowers and we really enjoyed looking at it especially when there are lots of flowers and getting huge. When those sunflowers were removed, it took several years before I was able to see some sunflowers again. It was when I visited Baguio city.
Right now, sunflower is becoming more popular with the increasing number of tourist attractions that feature this beautiful flower. I think one that is nearest to the city is the sunflowers in UP Diliman. It was part of the landscaping in their University and been an attraction too not just for the students but as well for the visitors. Its address is "Vidal Tan Hall in Velasquez St., Diliman, Quezon City."

Another sunflower attraction in the Philippines is the newly open sunflower maze located in Pangasinan. It was said that it can accomodate upto 100 visitors and the maze it will take at least 30 minutes to complete this maze. There are approximately 8,000 sunflower plants used to build this beautiful maze. The location is around four hours away from the city. Aside from the sunflower maze, the visitors can also pick their own fruits and vegetables in the farm and pay for it afterwards. Which makes the place more amazing since fresh healthy foods are available as well. Source

You also visit the Paradizoo farm in Tagaytay to see those lovely sunflowers and other attractions in the farm. They offer agricultural tourism in which visitors can experience the farm life such as feeding the animals and knowing more about the various crops in there. It can be considered as an educational tour visiting the farm. They also have a bonsai garden in which one can learn about the wiring technique used in shaping a bonsai.
