Spam Emails From Facebook

Be Aware.

Social networking sites are too famous nowadays that it become part of one's everyday life. Facebook is seems to be known by everyone on earth. Personally, I have my Facebook account and I am using it to get connected with my friends and some business matter.

A spam email is seems to be an old problem ever since emails are created and so it evolves as the online world does. So spam emails pretending to be coming from Facebook is so alarming that it can really fool an user. Their modus is to send messages saying your Facebook account is hacked or used by someone and so they had changed your password for security and it is attached to their message. Which is the fact that their attachment can bear virus or hacking software device so better be careful. When i searched for Facebook help options, it is stated there that they will never ever send messages that will enclose your password or new password and do not attempt to open any attachments to avoid getting hacked or avoiding the virus that can be enclosed to it.

Here is an example of spam message pretending to be from Facebook support:

Facebook Support. Your account is temporarily blocked. ID779

"Facebook Service"
To:

Message contains attachments
1 File (33KB
Dear Customer.

A spam is sent from your Facebook account.
Your password has been changed for safety.

Information regarding your account and a new password is attached to the letter.
Read this information thoroughly and change the password to complicated one.


Thank you for your attention,
Facebook Service.
(Note: I deleted the attachment so that it would not be accidentally be downloaded or opened by the
readers here.)
Hope that this could help fellow social networking site users to be aware of it and avoid getting damaged from this spam emails.
